AgriCord supports the Decade of Family Farming (2019-2028)
AgriCord greets the Resolution on the Decade of Family Farming (2019-2028), which was adopted by the United Nations' General Assembly of December 2017. The goal is to promote better public policies on family farming, an objective that is fully supported by AgriCord.
Empowering small farmers in Congo, Brazil and Philippines: a case study
In 2016, the facilitation of farmers’ organisations contacts with the WFP resulted in a contract between FOs in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and the P4P programme of the WFP. In the Philippines, important exchanges have been facilitated between Brazilian and Philippine FOs and the national government setting up a public purchases programme, to take stock of lessons learnt in the Brazilian Fame Zero programme. The approaches have huge potential for scaling up over several countries and continents.

The General Assembly of AgriCord brings together farmers leaders from OECD and developing countries, members of AgriCord, and the executives of the agri-agencies.
AgriCord becomes an International Non-Profit Organisation
On 17th november 2017 the General Assembly has approved new statutes for AgriCord as an International Non-Profit Organisation (INPO). As an organisation working internationally, AgriCord now reflects these global activities through its legal status. In it’s new form AgriCord remains a non-profit organisation based on Belgian legislation.
