Women are central to global food systems - yet their contributions remain systematically undervalued and constrained by structural inequalities.
On 5 March 2026, AgriCord will publicly launch its Gender Vision for Equality in Agriculture and Forestry during a high-level international webinar.
This event forms part of AgriCord’s contribution to the International Year of the Woman Farmer (IYWF 2026) and takes place just ahead of International Women’s Rights Day (8 March). At a time when gender equality initiatives face political and financial setbacks globally, this launch signals renewed commitment - and concrete action.
Why this Vision Document matters?
Validated in May 2025, the AgriCord Gender Vision is a strategic and transformative roadmap designed to support agri-agencies (AAs) and farmer organizations (FOs) in advancing gender equality and social inclusion.
The Vision goes beyond gender mainstreaming. It promotes gender transformative approaches that address structural barriers, unequal power dynamics, and restrictive social norms and engage men as allies in systemic change.
This webinar marks a transition from strategy to practice. This webinar will showcase how AgriCord members and farmer’s organizations are already translating this vision into practice
