
AgriCord, together with its members Trias, ACODEA, and Cresol, will host the Closing Event of the SEPOP Program in Ecuador. The three-day gathering will showcase results, share good practices, and bring together farmers’ organizations, international partners, and development institutions.
About SEPOP
The SEPOP program, funded by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) consists of 17 projects in Africa and Latin America. The program strengthened governance, services, financial management, and market access; while integrating gender equity, youth participation, climate resilience, and digital innovation.
Event Highlights
Day 1 – Quito
- Presentation of SEPOP results and success stories.
- Panels on financing rural development, COAC–producer organization integration, and climate finance.
- Networking and stands showcasing products and innovations.
Day 2 – Tena
- Field visits to cocoa, guayusa, and agroforestry initiatives (Kallari, UNOCACE, Wiñak, Sabor Arriba).
- Exchange on inclusion and governance with FAPECAFES, CACMU, and others.
- Cultural evening with music, dance, and gastronomy.
Day 3 – Tena
- Strategic workshop with Trias, ACODEA, Cresol, and AgriCord to design a roadmap for future collaboration and resource mobilization.
Participants
The event will welcome over 60 participants, including:
- Farmers’ organizations like UNOCACE, Sabor Arriba, FAPECAFES, CACMU, Kallari.
- Partners such as IFAD, FAO, AFD, and the European Union.
- Agri-agencies and rural development actors.
This event is not only a celebration of SEPOP’s achievements but also a space to inspire future action, strengthen alliances, and promote sustainable, inclusive rural development.
