Pooling of instruments within the alliance: A toolbox for collective marketing
UPA-DI, the canadian agri-agency, has made a toolbox of instruments to support farmers'organisations (FO’s) for collective marketing of their products. The toolbox consists of 29 fiches related to various stages, reflections, considerations and actions an FO and its members has to go through when starting collective marketing. The fiches are very practical and are based on concrete experiences of FO’s and of agri-agencies' work with FO’s in the field.
The toolbox is the basis of a wider tool box of, and for, other agri-agencies of the alliance for their support to FOs on collective marketing. The toolbox will also benefit from other agri-agencies’ experiences and tools.
As a part of its knowledge management development, AgriCord plans to include this type of joint toolbox management in its future framework of agri-agency services.
