Agricoltura è Vita

Agricoltura è Vita is the Italian member of the AgriCord network. The name means "Agriculture is Life" and refers to the value of agriculture as a common good, not only in economic production but also as an essential element of human life and the environment.
AèV is a non-profit association promoted by Cia-Agricoltori Italiani for vocational training, innovation and digitalization in the Mediterranean and Sub-Saharan Africa, for the benefit of women and young farmers members of farmers organisations (FO), cooperatives and other forms of agricultural associations, and for the benefit of the local FOs themselves.
AèV works for the enhancement of family farming, the promotion of the value of agricultural enterprises, the strengthening of local agricultural associations.
The inspiring objective of AèV’s initiatives is the consolidation of a new model of long-term sustainable development of agricultural production, respectful of the environment, firmly linked to the rural territory and the values of local communities.
It’s approach is based on partnership on an equal base with the local organisation in the analysis, implementation and development of initiatives.
AèV’s activities are certified in the quality system UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 EA37 and 29990:2011 EA 37.

Confederazione Italiana Agricoltori

The Confederazione Italiana Agricoltori, CIA, is a professional farmers' organisation, independent from political parties and from government. CIA represents farmers' interests in Italy, in Europe and at the international level.
The Confederation is represented in institutes and organisations that work in the field of food security, environmental issues, and all social, technical and economic aspects of farming in Italy. CIA organises advisory services to farmers, and deals with innovation, biological farming, agro-tourism. CIA has special programs aimed at senior or young farmers, and at women farmers. CIA is one of the largest European agricultural professional organisations. CIA counts more than 900.000 members, of which approximately 300.000 are agricultural entrepreneurs.
