05pm-3949 - PMBA Micro Insurance Programme: Phase 3
This is the third phase in the project proposal (2004-2007) which will lead the Pakisama Mutual Benefit Association (PMBA) to financial self sustainability. The total project costs will in this process partly being covered by own income. Objective is to enroll 10.500 members by the end of 2005 and 21.000 members by the end of year 2007. The PMBA apparatus will increase by recruitment and training of sales agents (Kadamays), Area Insurance Coordinators and Regional Insurance Coordinators. The package of insurance products will be increased and fine-tuned according to members needs. A Windows version of the OASE administrative soft ware package whcih became operational last year will enable a continuous technical backing by Interpolis. Interpolis will guarantee a re-insurance cover for the programme. The target of PMBA is to be financiallly independent by the end of the year 2007 and ensure a vast and secure income to the PAKISAMA Confederation. Agriterra would be favouring a collaboration between PMBA and ASHI for reasons of efficiency, broadening the scope of the programme and luring in additional financial resources.
