04do-3566 - Implementation and improvement of M&E systems

Good monitoring and evaluation systems are indispensible for achieving good practice concerning the support to POs and to ensure consistencey between the intervention strategy and results. At the same time sound M&E systems contribute to increased accountability and transparancy. The project concerns the implementation of the available instruments for measuring organisational strengthening of POs and project monitoring and evaluation. The project will also include the development of more qualitative approaches to impact assessment, following the so called story telling approach. An intergal analytical framework for the interpretation of results will be developed. Furthermore, the different instruments need to be internalised in the daily practice of AgriFocus and related organsiations. For the operation and further development of its M&E activities, Agriterra is calling interested parties to submit proposals. Parties are expected to have proven experience and capacity in the fields of monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment and social research, the development of new M&E methodologies and instruments and the institutionalisation/internalisation of these methodologies. Parties intent to build lasting relations with Agriterra and support it through research and training in this monitoring and evaluation function. Closing dates: Expression of interest: 31st December 2004Proposal submission: 31st January 2005
