Strengthening of the partner organisation and capacity building Even though it is the farmers that are the end beneficiaries of the project, it is very much focused on strengthening AFLOU and its selected regional organisations. Through the project AFLOU will continue to develop its system of collection and distribution of membership fees and to register members in the database. An important part of the project is to establish and register AFLOU in areas where it has not been operating previously. Experience from the project in 2006-2008 has shown significant improvement in this area. A better membership fee collecting system will hopefully also give AFLOU a better long term financial situation. Leaders will develop leadership skills and through the project AFLOU will be much better recognised by the government and other actors in the sector. Budget: 800 000 SEK (2009)
