Evidence of Impact 2012

Wednesday, February 8, 2012

The new "Evidence of impact" of AgriCord and Farmers Fighting Poverty has been published.

Every year, AgriCord M&E team publishes a 'Evidence of impact' report presenting a brief of the on-going efforts of farmers’ organisations to improve the living conditions of farmers and their families in many developing countries. The report is composed of real-life experiences of farmers, highlighting how their work and livelihoods are closely linked to the services provided by their organisations.

“Evidence of Impact” is compiled from reports of the farmers’ organisations themselves, as well as from external and independent evaluations conducted in the field. The situations described reflect the dynamism of farmers and their organisations in their fight against poverty and food insecurity.

Creating lasting impact is not an obvious or uncontested issue. This document tells about impact as it is perceived in the daily work of members of the AgriCord network and we are convinced that these experiences are worth sharing.

“Evidence of Impact 2012” is the fourth annual report of this series, which is supported by Finland's Ministry for Foreign Affairs. This version includes farmers and farmers organisations stories’ from more than 30 countries, mainly in Africa but also in Latin America and Asia.

Examples are presented per “work area” and cover the competences that AgriCord’s members, the agri-agencies, and associated members are strengthening throught farmers to farmers cooperation.
