work area 11: Market & Chain Development
This work area is the extension of the Trade Capacity Building programme that IFAP initiated with TMF funds. The implementation was in the hands of AgriCord and the agri-agencies. This work area enables both building commercial negotiation capacity and building effective commercial capacity in both domestic and export markets (see also: http://acces-to-markets.agro-info.net ). In the coming four years up to 2010 agri-agencies expect to be able to finance approximately 80 projects in trade capacity strengthening. In 2007 it is expected to support 10 trade capacity project involving more than 12.000 farmers
