work area 07: Agricultural Development (crops)
This work area comprises the many activities of agri-agencies that do targeted work with farmers’ groups on the technical aspects of cultivating certain crops. It includes activities with foresters, fishermen and agriculture both for export and home consumption. A large part of the projects in this field is financed with back-donor funds from France and Canada. The projects aim to address over 227.000 farmers in the 4 year period up to 2010.
