In addition, the union has constructed a store with a capacity of 25,000 quintals in Bedelle town. Furthermore, in order to stabilize the bargaining potential of grain marketing, members of the primary cooperatives are also planning to construct big stores in their premises (at the primary cooperatives). Furthermore, the union is planning to step into processing and marketing of edible oil for local consumption. Finally, the union facilitates credit to its member cooperatives by credits from the Oromia cooperative Bank and the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, as there are no microfinance institutions operating in the area. The union is member of oil seeds and edible oil value chain coordination group.
