Strengthening of the partner organisation and capacity building The project is in line with FEDECOCAGUA’s strategy of strengthening grassroots organisations in activities related to coffee production, industrialisation and trade, under the premise that as the social base becomes stronger, so does the capacity of management and negotiation of prices, to the benefit of thousands of families of small coffee producers. In 2009, a special effort will be made to promote and validate appropriate technologies, product diversification and cooperative organization. This means a qualitative leap in the Federation’s performance, which will invest in training of its own technical team that in turn will benefit the grassroots organizations, in coordination with other organizations linked to the cooperative movement.
