Zadruga Vocar, an agricultural cooperative in the north-east of Bosnia-Herzegovina, wants to assist their member farmers and members of the sister organisations Zadruga Prunus and the womens association Anima to improve the horticultural production and the marketing conditions in general. Final objective is to improve the income and living conditions of farmers. A complementary objective is to unite Bosnian and Serb people. In order to realise this improvement, Zadruga will engage an horticultural specialist who will have to render services to the farmers, like advise and guidance. The specialist will work on a part-time basis for 80 hours a month. The demanded support is the cost of this specialist, it is budgeted at 19.200 euro’s per year. The benefitting farmers will increasingly contribute, as well as Zadruga Vocar. Zadruga Vocar will have backstopping by the LLTB (Farmers and horticultural growers Organisation from the Netherlands) and Agriterra.
