Scaling what works: Producer-led solutions
for improved livelihoods and forest landscapes

9–13 September 2026 | Santa Cruz de la Sierra and Concepción, Plurinational State of Bolivia

A five-day global conference bringing forest and farm producer organisations, governments and partners together to move from shared learning to concrete commitments for resilient agrifood systems.

Since 2012, the FFF has worked to strengthen Forest and Farm Producer Organisations (FFPOs), representing an estimated 1.5 billion forest and farm producers globally.

Across Phase 1 (2012–2017, USD 19 million) and Phase 2 (2018–2026, USD 65 million), the FFF has shown that investing directly in FFPOs is an effective way to advance multiple Sustainable Development Goals at once.

Building on more than a decade of direct investment in 420 FFPOs across 15 countries, this conference will showcase the transformative role of FFPOs in agrifood systems, the FFF’s track record and operational efficiency, and its ability to deliver significant environmental, economic and social outcomes.

As Phase 2 draws to a close, the central question is: How can the FFF model be scaled to accelerate the uptake of productive forests and agroforestry worldwide? The global conference will bring key stakeholders together to explore and answer that question.

Conference objectives

The conference aims to build momentum for a future phase of the FFF that can drive a just rural transition globally by scaling a model that has already demonstrated its effectiveness.

01

Demonstrate strategic value

Show the value of investing in FFPOs to transform agrifood systems from the ground up.

02

Share evidence and lessons

Share experience-based and policy-relevant lessons on food security, job creation, local economies, climate resilience, biodiversity preservation and social inclusion.

03

Identify pathways to scale

Explore investment in five levers: producer organisations; capacity building and co-innovation; blended finance; seeds, bioinputs and technology; and value addition and market access.

04

Catalyse commitment

Mobilise political commitment, investment and action for a global agroecological and agroforestry transformation led by FFPOs.

Programme structure and session highlights

The programme combines high-level dialogues, evidence-based case studies and interactive working sessions to scale FFPO-led transformation.

Day 1 · 9 September

Producers and policies

The opening day focuses on the role of FFPOs in shaping more inclusive and resilient agrifood systems. Day 3 · 11 September

Global initiatives that scale action

The third day will spotlight the Global Productive Forests Initiative (GPFI) within the Plan to Accelerate Solutions TERRA of the COP30 Action Agenda. Sessions will present TERRA’s five acceleration levers, expand partnerships with financial institutions, and introduce Champion Countries and Friends of TERRA.

Days 4–5 · 12–13 September
